FAQ
What happens in case of bad weather?
We conduct the training as long as conditions allow for safe activity in the mountains. In case of very bad weather or high avalanche risk, we modify the program (more practical training in safe terrain, technical exercises, theoretical sessions). Safety is our top priority.
Can I arrive with my own car?
Yes — you can easily drive directly to the mountain hut.
Is it possible to rent equipment?
Yes. Avalanche safety kit (transceiver, probe, shovel), crampons, and ice axe – we have our own sets available for rent. Ski touring equipment – the rental shop is located 200 m from the hut. We arrange the reservation in advance. We also cooperate with Chilli Sport rental near Zakopianka road, where equipment can be rented on the way. Equipment rental must be booked in advance.
How much does the rental cost?
Price list per 1 day (we charge for 2 days of use): Skitouring set (skis + boots + poles, frame bindings) – 150 PLN, Avalanche kit (transceiver + probe + shovel) – 50 PLN, Transceiver – 30 PLN, Probe – 10 PLN, Shovel – 15 PLN, Ice axe – 15 PLN, Crampons – 25 PLN.
Is the accommodation in single rooms?
Rooms are available as 2, 3, and 4 person options. A single room is possible for an additional fee (upon prior arrangement).
What about meals?
There is a restaurant 100 m from the hut – we have dinners there. During mountain days, we eat in a mountain shelter. We prepare breakfasts ourselves (fully equipped kitchen + coffee machine available).
Is this course suitable for people who only ski on prepared slopes?
Yes — it is a very good choice for a first backcountry experience. Confident skiing skills are required.
What equipment should I bring?
Equipment: ski touring set (skis, boots, skins, telescopic poles), crampons and ice axe, avalanche kit, helmet, 36–45 L backpack (with ice axe attachment), headlamp, ID card/passport. A first aid kit is not mandatory but recommended.
What clothing should I bring?
Jacket and pants (GoreTex / softshell), thermal base layers, 2 pairs of gloves, 3 pairs of socks, hat / neck gaiter, gaiters, sunglasses or goggles.
What food should I bring to the mountains?
Thermos, sandwiches, energy bars, isotonic drink.

Wspaniale spędzone 3 dni. Super klimatyczne miejsce. Bardzo przemyślany program zajęć, świetny instruktor i miejsce.

Duża dawka wiedzy teoretycznej poparta szkoleniem praktycznym w terenie. Po kursie jestem w stanie lepiej oceniać zagrożenie lawinowe, wybierać lepiej ścieżki podejścia i zjazdu. No i przede wszystkim posługiwać się lawinowym ABC. Polecam serdecznie to szkolenie!
