FAQ

Where can I look for accommodation?

For an additional fee, we can book accommodation for you in rooms with bathrooms in the Wietrznice resort. This is the place where the course starts and ends, it is our base. This place is in the best possible location, offering comfort, peace and good food. There is a pizzeria called KayakPizza on site, open until 11 p.m.

What happens after the course? Will I receive a certificate that allows me to sail on mountain rivers or rent equipment?

We do not issue course completion certificates and such certificates are not used or respected in Poland or around the world, we can provide those interested with a commemorative course completion diploma.

Do I need to have experience in a touring kayak and what if I have never paddled before?

You don't need to have any experience, the course is conducted from scratch.

What if I've done a lot of rafting on lowland rivers and I'm a good kayaker on lowland rivers, won't I get bored? Can I take Level 2?

The course is conducted from scratch and contains all the necessary information regarding safety, rowing techniques, phenomena occurring on rivers, and kayak maneuvers in a mountain river. Skipping any of the stages always ends with a return to the basics.

Is the course demanding, intense, or will there be adrenaline?

Yes, the course is demanding and we have never encountered a situation where it was too easy, boring or lacking in excitement.

Do I have to be an athletic person?

Athletic people usually find it easier to perform the program, but there are people who, even though they are not athletic, have good motor coordination, which translates into faster progress.

What is the minimum and maximum age of the participant? What is the average age on the course?

The average age is about 35/45 years old, the oldest participant who reached a high level was 72 years old. There are also many people over 30 years old and a few over 60 swimming with us.

Is it a sport only for men?

It's not a sport for women either. However, there are about 20% fewer of them. Due to the weight of the kayak. Women often choose the easier option – packrafting.

How to dress and what to take with you?

Please bring thermoactive clothing or Lycra, a Tshirt, leggings, underwear, socks, shoes (comfortable, lace up with a hard sole), a towel (on cold days, take a hat and warm clothes to wear after classes),

If I have my own equipment, can I take it?

Yes, of course you can take your own equipment, but we are not responsible for any damage during transport.

Can I start the course from the second day?

Unfortunately, no, because on the first day of the course there are theoretical classes on the water, during which the instructor provides the most important safety information.

Things to remember
